About Peggy Koesel

An independent professional neutral with Margaret M. Koesel & Co., Peggy Koesel devotes her mediation practice to working with parties in conflict to resolve disputes before litigation starts, or at an appropriate time during a litigated matter.  Peggy also arbitrates employment disputes, working with the parties throughout the process thoughtfully and efficiently.

As a neutral and conflict resolution professional, Peggy brings years of experience as a lawyer, mediator and arbitrator to help parties to resolve business and workplace conflicts.

Work Presentation

Peggy's litigation and counseling practice focused largely on employment, non-compete and ERISA disputes. She advocated for individuals and organizations, including those involved in banking, education, transportation, telecommunications, healthcare and hospitality industries.  

This experience now informs Peggy's work with parties addressing these difficult disputes and helps her work with parties to resolve them early, before they become highly adversarial.

As she transitioned from practicing law to practice as a neutral, Peggy studied mediation and arbitration with nationally recognized thought leaders in conflict at Harvard Negotiation Institute, Harvard Law School, The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University, The Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution, Cornell University, American Arbitration Association, and at the Arbitration Training Institute, American Bar Association.
